1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how OutputAI (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the OutputAI mobile application.

We designed OutputAI to collect as little personal data as possible. Most features are accessible without requiring an account, and no personal information is sold or shared for advertising.

2. What We Collect

For All Users:

  • Shared Content: When you share text, images, or links to the App, we process that content temporarily to generate an AI response. The content is not stored beyond its immediate use unless required to deliver a result or fulfill a request.
  • Device-Level Metadata: We may collect anonymous, non-personal metadata (e.g., device type, platform, language) for technical performance, abuse prevention, and subscription enforcement.
  • Push Notification Token: If you enable notifications, a secure device token is used to deliver AI results to your device.

This information is never used to personally identify you.

For Subscribers (Paid Users Only):

When subscribing to a paid plan, you may be asked to sign in using a third-party login provider (e.g., Apple, Google, or Email-based login). In that case, we may collect:

  • Name and Email Address, as provided by your chosen sign-in provider;
  • Authentication Token, for secure access to subscription features.

No password or billing details are collected or stored by us. All payment processing is handled securely by your app store provider (e.g., Apple).

3. How We Use the Data

We use data strictly for the following purposes:

  • To generate AI responses based on shared content;
  • To manage feature access based on subscription level;
  • To deliver results via push notification (if enabled);
  • To prevent fraud or excessive system use.

We do not use personal data for advertising, tracking, profiling, or resale.

4. Third-Party Processing

We may securely transmit shared content to external services to process AI responses. These services receive only the data necessary to fulfill your request. No personally identifying information (such as your name, email, or device ID) is shared with them.

We do not publicly list or guarantee use of any specific vendor.

5. Data Retention

  • Content is retained only as long as needed to generate and deliver your AI result or maintain short-term history (if supported by your plan).
  • Authentication details (name/email) are only retained if you subscribe to a paid plan.
  • We do not retain personal data from free users.

You may request deletion of any stored data by contacting caleb@outputai.app.

6. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest, including:

  • HTTPS encryption
  • Controlled access to infrastructure
  • Secure token handling

However, no system can guarantee complete security. By using the App, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we store about your account
  • Request deletion of stored AI responses or sign-in credentials
  • Withdraw consent to notifications

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe that a child has provided data, contact us for immediate removal.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the App or on our official website with a new effective date. Continued use of the App indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
